Emily Rowell teaches traditional Hatha Yoga. Her classes are friendly and laid back for all levels of experience.
Practiced at a slower pace, the focus for Hatha Yoga is on breath, controlled movements and stretching.
What brings you to Rutland?
I grew up in Stamford and although I moved away and lived in various places after finishing school I’ve eventually been drawn back to the beauty of the Rutland and Lincolnshire countryside. It’s such a peaceful place to be.
What can people expect from your Hatha yoga classes at Woolfox?
In my classes you can expect to stretch and strengthen your body while also learning about the deeper layers of yoga and the amazing wisdom of this ancient practice. My classes are accessible and open to all levels of ability. I particularly enjoy teaching beginners and showing them that you really don’t need a flexible, bendy body to benefit from a yoga practice.
What do you like to do when you’re not teaching or practising yoga?
Aside from yoga I enjoy going on adventures with my partner and our little dog. We just tried bike packing for the first time in Scotland with our terrier on the back of one of the bikes – hard work but great fun!
What is the best thing about Woolfox?
The best thing about Woolfox is the sense of community. Every single class I teach feels so friendly and new members are always warmly welcomed by everyone.
